PACER scientist Scott Levin, PhD is leading research to develop
a decision support tool to expedite disaster patient triage to
appropriate levels of in-hospital care. The objective is to
improve hospital surge capacity through swift and accurate medical
resource allocation decisions. This study is in-line with Dr.
Levin's overarching research focus on use and development of
systems engineering tools to improve the effectiveness health care
delivery and to determine how scarce medical resources may be
managed to best care for patient populations.
